Hi,

We are playing football in Clissold Park this coming Thursday, May 27th.

I plan to make this a weekly event during the summer.
The format will be:

6:45pm - passing drills - i.e. exercises to help improve your passing and awareness.
7:15pm - friendly game (e.g. 7aside) for one hour.

Location: We will play in Clissold Park, N4 2EY. This is about 10-15 min walk from Manor House, Finsbury Park and Arsenal stations. We will be playing on the part of the park adjacent to Green Lanes.
Cost: Free

Surface: Grass (so possible to wear football boots).

Attitude: This isn't just a kick-about. The aim is for participants to improve one-touch passing and awareness in a game. So, if you are looking to shoot every time you receive the ball - or dribble past 4 players before you ever receive a pass, then you won't be welcome. You will need to be patient during drills.

Drills: If you see a good drill on youtube, please send me the link. If you want to bring the attendees through a drill you have, then please let me know beforehand. Looking for drills which improve touch/control, accurate passing and, most importantly, awareness (e.g. knowing where you will pass the ball before you receive it)

Fitness: there will be no mandatory fitness element to this. We won't be doing any 'Shuttle running'. Whatever fitness you get out of it will depend on the level of running and chasing you do yourself during the 60min game.
