Description

Astro pitch. 5-a-side goals. No head height restrictions. Rotating keepers. Mixed abilities. Footballs and blue / orange team bibs provided. Pitch best suits pimpled astro boots.
Mutual respect is essential from all participants. It's a stress free game with a competitive edge. Neither physical nor verbal abuse of other players, is tolerated.
To ensure fair play a penalty is awarded whenever one of the following are committed anywhere on the pitch:
1) deliberate handball,
2) a technical foul (one for the team),
3) a foul denying a goal scoring opportunity,
4) a foul where no attempt is made to play the ball.
Very few of these type of offences are committed. Most weeks there are none.

The pitch is also accessible by walking through from Shene Fitness Centre, Park Avenue.
There are changing rooms and showers.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we start fifteen minutes earlier than we used to. The middle pitch (the one we use) doesn't currently have a booking at 7pm. We often continue until around 7:20pm ish.
The nearest stations are Barnes and Mortlake. Upper Richmond Road is served by bus routes 33, 337 and 493. There's free parking in Hertford Avenue.
