West London NHS Trust peer support team formed a partnership with the Queens Park Rangers Football Club, the Footy Addicts Company and Everyone Active Company to provide a “Football for Wellbeing Hub” open to all in West London including the community, service users and West London NHS Trust workers. We work together to create wellbeing spaces in the community and improve physical and mental health in a safe, fun and inclusive environment.
Just to clarify it will be a therapeutic football session included players who are experiencing mental health difficulties and not a super competitive football session if you would like to consider!
One hour slot. Brief intros, team selections and we’ll kick off at 12noon and then half an hour extra wellbeing time with offer to stay after the game to have a chat with our mental health professional (Babak) if you would like to discuss your mental health concerns privately.
Meeting Point: Meet next to the pitch.
Time: Please arrive 10 minutes before the kick-off. Latecomers might risk losing their spot
Game On: 10 players, the game will be on. The organiser will cancel the session if not enough in.
Attitude: We promote a friendly atmosphere – no shouting or aggressive behaviour. Respect venue staff and follow their instructions
Attendance: If you can't make it, ensure you remove your name from the list ASAP.
By booking yourself you are agreeing with our terms and conditions explained below:
