Looking to play football in South London? Norwood School in Upper Norwood has a nice 3G pitch available for community use. It’s a popular spot for local football and well placed for players coming in from West Norwood, Crystal Palace, Streatham and Gipsy Hill.
Pitch is located at the back of the school on Stable Mews through Elder Road.
The school is set just off Crown Dale and Beulah Hill in SE19. The area is mostly residential with rows of terraced houses and small parks nearby, and Crystal Palace Park is only a short walk down the hill. It’s an urban part of South London but with good open spaces and a strong football culture. Easy to get to from Streatham, Dulwich and Thornton Heath.
Pitches: Outdoor 7-a-side 3G pitch line marked for football, about 55m x 35m, floodlights included
Changing Rooms & Showers: No changing rooms. Come prepared
Parking: Limited free street parking
Entrance Guide: Enter via Stable Mews only. Follow the path through to the pitch
Buses: Bus 68, 196, 315, 417 and 468 stops nearby
Train: West Norwood station (Southern, Thameslink) is around a 15-minute walk. Crystal Palace station (Overground, Southern) is about 20 minutes away or a short bus ride. Gipsy Hill station (Southern) is also close with buses up Beulah Hill.
