Looking to play football near Brighton? Shoreham Academy on Kingston Lane in Shoreham-by-Sea has a full size floodlit 3G pitch that can be split into smaller pitches. It sits on the border of Shoreham and Southwick, so it's easy to reach for players from Southwick, Kingston Buci, Fishersgate, Portslade, Lancing and the west side of Hove.
The academy is in a quiet residential area made up mostly of family homes, between Shoreham town centre and Southwick. The Holmbush shopping centre and the A27 are just to the north, with the South Downs rising up behind them. Head south and you're soon at Southwick, the harbour and the seafront.
Pitches: One full size floodlit 3G pitch, FA approved
Changing Rooms & Showers: Not available for outdoor bookings
Parking: Free on-site parking with plenty of spaces
Entrance Guide: Use the side gate at the front of the academy on Kingston Lane. This is the only way in to the 3G pitch.
Buses: The Brighton & Hove 2 and 2B stop at Kingston Lane on the Old Shoreham Road, a short walk from the academy. The 2 runs between Shoreham and Brighton and keeps going until late in the evening.
Train: Southwick is the nearest station, about a 12 to 15 minute walk. Shoreham-by-Sea station is around 20 to 25 minutes away on foot. Both are on the Southern coast line between Brighton and Worthing.
For private bookings, contact the venue directly. Footy Addicts does not handle third-party bookings.
What boots should I wear? Moulded boots or astro trainers on the 3G. Metal studs are not allowed.
Are there toilets? There are no indoor toilets for outdoor bookings, but there are portable toilets outside the main entrance next to the 3G pitch.
