Common questions about the venue 🏟
How skilled do I need to be to play football at Mile End?
Footy Addicts welcomes players of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned player, there's a game for everyone.
What kind of footwear is appropriate for the pitch?
It’s best to use Astro Turf Trainers (TF) with their multiple small studs, or Artificial Ground Boots (AG Boots) specifically designed for such surfaces. No metal studs are allowed.
Do you provide bibs or balls, or should we bring our own?
Absolutely! The game host brings both bibs and balls. They'll also make sure the teams are balanced and everything runs smoothly during the game.
How do I book a slot?
First, ensure your Footy Addicts wallet has funds. Then, simply choose a game, join, and check the lineup to see your name.
Is there a waitlist if a time slot is already booked?
Yes. You can join a waiting list if the game is full, and you will be notified if a space opens up and also if somebody comments on the game page.
Are there any membership or discount options?
Yes, we offer exclusive monthly game packs with discounts for our regular players. Please note that any promotions currently apply only to games organised by @footyaddictsstaff and are valid for future games. It's our way of thanking you for being a part of our football community.
Are there first aid facilities or personnel on site?
Every football pitch in England is expected to have a first aid kit, with venue staff trained in its use.
How's player safety ensured on the pitch?
Player safety comes first. Take a moment to read Footy Addicts’ Code of Conduct, which outlines clear behavioural and safety guidelines for all participants.
Can I rent or buy equipment at the venue?
No, the venue doesn't provide options for equipment rental or purchase. Players typically bring their own gear for their matches.
Is there a lost and found in case I misplace any of my belongings?
People often bring lost items to the reception. You can also ask other players and the game organiser in the comments section if they've seen your stuff.
Are there storage or locker facilities available?
Try not to bring valuable items to the game. But if you have to, ask at the reception or see if there are lockers available in the changing room.
Is there a seating area for spectators or friends?
Games are organised for players only. There's no specific seating area, but if a friend comes along, they can wait on the sidelines.
