✅ Game On

We aim to have enough players at every session for the games to go ahead, even if all the places advertised on Footy Addicts have not been booked. Our sessions also include registered Minds United players who do not book through Footy Addicts.

In the unlikely event that we do not have enough players for the session to go ahead, any players who paid and booked through Footy Addicts will be issued a refund.

👥 Attendance

If you can't make the session, please remove your name from the Footy Addicts list as soon as possible so your place can become available to someone else.

No spot selling, swapping or trading is allowed. Places must only be booked and managed through Footy Addicts.

🟨 Game Host / Referee

Our sessions are hosted by Minds United and matches are overseen by a qualified referee, helping to keep the games organised, fair and flowing.

⚽ Match Format

Teams will be selected as evenly as possible to keep the games competitive and enjoyable.

The format will depend on the number of teams playing.

3 Teams — Winner Stays On

Each game lasts 7 minutes OR until one team scores 2 goals — whichever comes first.

The winning team stays on and the losing team comes off.

If the game is still level after 7 minutes, Rock Paper Scissors decides which team stays on.

More Than 3 Teams — Two Games Each

When we have more than 3 teams, we use a rotation system to give teams a fair amount of playing time.

Games are played until the score reaches 2–0.

Once a team goes 2–0 up, the game ends and the teams rotate.

Every team plays 2 games before coming off, whether they win or lose.

After playing 2 games, the team rotates off and the next team comes on.

There is no winner-stays-on advantage when we have more than 3 teams.

The number of teams and individual playing time may vary depending on attendance.

🧤 Goalkeepers

The goalkeeper will change after every match, unless someone wants to stay in goal.

This gives everyone a fair opportunity to play outfield while allowing anyone who enjoys playing in goal to remain as goalkeeper.

👟 Footwear Rules

Astro trainers only.

❌ No moulded boots
❌ No studs
❌ No blades

Players wearing unsuitable footwear will not be able to take part.

📝 Registration — Required for Everyone

All players must register with Minds United Sports Club CIC before taking part, including players who have booked through Footy Addicts.

Registration only takes a few minutes. We'll ask for some basic details and take a photo for your member profile so we can complete your registration.

If this is your first session, please arrive early enough to complete your registration before the session starts.

💙 Free Places Through Minds United

If you are experiencing mental health difficulties or have a disability, you may be eligible to access our club's sports programme free of charge.

Eligible participants do not need to book or pay through Footy Addicts.

Instead, please message us directly to arrange a short meeting at our clubhouse. This gives us an opportunity to introduce you to our organisation, explain the programme and complete your registration.

Once registered and accepted onto the programme, you can attend eligible sessions for free.

🏆 Interested in Playing for Minds United FC?

We participate in Sunday league matches, tournaments and competitions throughout the year.

If you're interested in progressing into one of our teams, speak to one of our coaches at the session.
