⚽ 5-a-side futsal

Important Information:
- Futsal Pitch by Reception
- Mix between regulars and new players
- Our sessions also include registered Minds United players who do not book through Footy Addicts

Game Host / Referee:
Our sessions are hosted by Minds United and matches are overseen by a qualified referee, helping to keep the games organised, fair and flowing.

Session Format:
- 20 minutes — Training
- 40 minutes — 5-a-side matches
- All matches are played 5-a-side (4 outfield players + 1 goalkeeper).
- Teams will be selected as evenly as possible to keep the games competitive and enjoyable.

The match format will depend on attendance:
- 2 teams: One full 5-a-side match.
- 3 or 4 teams: Fast-paced rotating 5-a-side games. Each game lasts 7 minutes OR until one team scores 2 goals — whichever comes first. The winning team stays on.
- 3 teams: If a game ends in a draw after 7 minutes, Rock Paper Scissors decides which team stays on.
- 4 teams: If a game ends in a draw after 7 minutes, both teams come off and the next two teams play.

Futsal Game Rules:
- We play using futsal-style rules, adapted where necessary for our community sessions.
- No throw-ins — the ball is kicked back into play from the touchline.
- Kick-ins should be taken promptly, with the ball stationary on the touchline.
- Goalkeepers restart play by throwing the ball out from their penalty area.
- Slide tackles are allowed, but must be controlled and not reckless or dangerous. The referee will have the final decision on challenges and fouls.
- The aim is to keep the games fast, competitive and enjoyable for everyone.

Goalkeepers:
- The goalkeeper will change after every match, unless someone wants to stay in goal. This helps give everyone a fair opportunity to play outfield.

Footwear Rules:
Astro trainers only.
❌ No moulded boots
❌ No studs
❌ No blades
